The 2022 lineup of North Florida events is already growing fast. From football games and marathons to musical performances and car shows, this area has something for every member of the family. While new events are being added every day, discover just a few of the North Florida events and annual traditions locals look forward to attending year after year.
January 9: NFL Gameday Cheer on the Jacksonville Jaguars as they take on the Indianapolis Colts for the last NFL game of the regular season, right here at the TIAA Bank Stadium.
January 21-22: Jacksonville Symphony For two nights only, listen to the Jacksonville Symphony bring the music of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi to life at the Times-Union Center. This powerful music experience will take listeners on a journey through a Death Star rebellion, climactic duels and more.
January 25-30: Dear Evan Hansen The Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen will be taking the stage at the Times-Union Center. Discover the heartwarming Broadway hit that has won six 2017 Tony Awards and the 2018 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.
January 28-30: Jacksonville Boat Show The Jacksonville Boat Show is taking place this year at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center. There will be a large variety of boats on display, including fishing, skiing, cruisers, personal watercrafts and more. Vendors will also be set up for all your boating needs.
February 6-8: DONNA Marathon The 15th Annual DONNA Marathon weekend has returned in-person this year. As the only national marathon dedicated to breast cancer research, the weekend will include a 5K, Anniversary 15K Relay, Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultramarathon and Health & Wellness Expo.
February 8: Imagine Dragons Concert The Imagine Dragons Mercury Tour concert will be coming to the Vystar Veterans Arena in Jacksonville. Enjoy the best of Imagine Dragons and their newest songs in this unforgettable concert experience.
February 11: Trevor Noah’s Comedy Tour Host of the Daily Show, comedian Trevor Noah will be making people laugh at the Vystar Veterans Arena all night long as a part of his “Back to Abnormal” comedy tour.
February 15: Dancing with the Stars Tour Your favorite dancers from Dancing with the Stars will be coming to the Times-Union center for a live tour. The star-studded lineup includes special guest Kaitlyn Bristowe, season 29 mirror ball champion.
February 26-27: World of Nations Celebration Travel around the world in a day at the World of Nations Celebration. Taking place at downtown’s Metropolitan Park, this annual international festival is North Florida’s largest multicultural festival.
March 3-6: Rare Auto Show Now in its third decade, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is among the top automotive events in the world. Gather at The Ritz-Carlton and The Golf Club of Amelia Island for a celebration of rare vehicles like no other.
March 25-26: Science Festival The Florida State College at Jacksonville’s south campus presents the smartest and coolest science festival in the state. Learn some new scientific tricks along with the evidence-based logic behind them.
April 1-3: Blues Festival The 30th annual Springing the Blues Music Festival will be back again at the Seawalk Pavilion this year. Join in on one of the largest oceanfront free Blues Festivals in the world.
April 16-17: Art Festival The Mandarin Art Festival is happy to be returning in 2022. Visitors will enjoy 100+ juried artists, a green market, children’s art show, bake sale and more.
April 23: Elton John Concert After more than half a century on the road, Elton John has announced his final tour- Farewell Yellow Brick Road. He will be coming to the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena for one more spectacular performance.
April 29-May 1: Shrimp Festival The Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is Amelia Island’s biggest event weekend of the year. Held in Fernandina’s downtown historic district, the event includes a pirate parade, huge art show, shrimp boat festival, food booths, and more.
May 13-14: Jacksonville Symphony Relive the magic of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire soaring across the big screen of Times-Union theater in a way you have never experienced before. As the movie is playing, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra will be performing the music live.
Date TBD: Nature Festival The 3-day Wild Amelia Nature Festival is always held over a weekend in May to celebrate nature on and around Amelia Island. While dates for 2022 have not been officially announced, the festival is set to include numerous nature tours, nature photography workshops, a business expo, a Kids’ Niche, critters from the Jacksonville Zoo and more.
